Leakproofness test
The measuring system of the blower door allows you to check the degree of tightness of the outer shell of buildings. To increase the comfort level of buildings, it is necessary that there is no uncontrolled air penetration in them, and to achieve a design with lower energy consumption.

With the help of the measuring system of the blower door, you can find out the values of the air tightness of the building and diagnose its condition.

For a passive house, the cost of repairs. / hour with a pressure difference of 50 pascals, it should not exceed 0.6 rens/hour.
How is this done?
To measure the results, it is necessary to close the windows and close all controlled external openings (vents, hoods in the kitchen...).
When everything is closed, a fan with an adapter is installed in a doorway or window, usually at the entrance door of the building.
The software is configured for the volume of the housing and the diameter of the fan, and the fan turns on when the pressure difference inside and outside the building is 50 pascal.
A house or building is depressurized when the air pumped by the fan goes outside, and then begins to suck air from the outside inside through cracks and crevices in the housing.
As a result, the detected penetration rate is compared with the volume of the building and measured by the number of repairs per hour. The higher the temperature, the less airtight the room is.

From September 24, 2020, all buildings applying for a construction license in Spain, both for new construction and renovation, must comply with the standards for buildings with virtually zero energy consumption.
Breathability
The air permeability of the entire thermal envelope (n50), which is required only for a new private residential building with a total usable area of more than 120 m2.
The n50 value can be calculated in two ways:
Limit value of the air change ratio with a pressure of 50 Pa
The limit values of the intermediate compactness (2<V/A<4) are determined by interpolation.

The calculation of these compactness values is performed differently than the calculation for the second limit value K, as described in section 4.5 of this manual, since the volume in question is the air inside the building, and only surfaces in contact with the air appearance are taken into account.
